Pads in the Pandemic
In 2020, Sanitree partnered with Kingswood School Bath, who sponsored 1500 pads for 350 schoolgirls in Southern Malawi.
Facilitating access to reusable pads enables an uninterrupted education, bringinging students one step closer to educational equity. Collaborating with established educators and community leaders allows a localised and tailored response to a global issue.

“I dropped out of school in the first term of 2019/20 school academic year. The reason behind this drop out was that whenever I went to school in menstrual period, my fellow students used to laugh at me because the old clothes I used to cover me were not strong enough to keep me safe. Always menstrual blood came out. However, when the headmaster told my that they have received donation of pads from Sanitre Community I was very happy. Then I decided to return to school to resume my lessons.”
