What would you say to someone thinking about applying to your role?
“It's such an amazing opportunity to do something that lets you organise a club night and many other events that you get to plan and execute. Because Sanitree is an already established group it's really nice to already have a following.”
— Georgina, Events Manager
“The sales team is a great team to be a part of because you get to be at the heart of Sanitree which is our pads and talk to lots of people about why they are so great. Online sales is really rewarding as you get to see the Sanitree pads out in the marketplace for everyone to buy.
If you want to meet inspiring people tackling issues of menstruation and inequality then this is the space for you.”
— Charlotte, Online Sales Manager
“I would say it is a good role to get into if you are interested in publishing etc. as it allows you to learn good editing, time management and people skills which is what you will need in the industry. Great role in terms of creative freedom, and inspiration. An exciting opportunity for a writer passionate about period dignity and sustainability.”
— Lula, Head Writer

Collaborative working
Team work really does make the dream work! Find out more about our roles and sub teams and what they do. We encourage all of our subteams to work closely together, collaborating on a variety of different projects. Our weekly team meetings are at the heart of this, an opportunity for everyone to come together and share what they’ve been working on as well as sections like inspiration of the week and a skill development workshop!
Visit the Her Shakti Centre
Every year we send some of our members to transfer their volunteering skills to the Her Shakti Centre in Jaipur. Previous volunteers have worked on murals, local partnerships, HR practices and Sales. Developing close connections with the Jaipur team is central to being part of the team and the opportunity to work across both bases is extremely unique.
High achievers
Earlier this year, we were nominated for not one, not two but three Student Awards. Our impact in community volunteering, contribution to community wellbeing and fundraising events were recognised for their outstanding achievements. Our success in the Sustainable Changemaker Awards, organised by the Department of Sustainability and Social Responsibility, was one of our highlights of the year. We will continue to trailblaze a high standard in this space, enabling students to fulfil their potential and create change that they can be proud of.
Recognising success is at the heart of our operations in Edinburgh and last year we hosted our first ever Sanitree awards ceremony with categories such as biggest impact, best workshop and best networker! We also recognise short-term success with our volunteer of the week shout-outs in team meetings! We value the time and energy that all our volunteers give us and love to show our appreciation.
So, where can I join?
